As Regional Sales Director, you will lead commercial efforts across India to maximize market opportunities.

You will set an effective positioning of company's brand messaging together with definable and measurable sales goals and ensure they are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development Strategy
    • Contribute to global business development strategy on account growth objectives
    • Determine strategies for selected accounts
    • Grow wallet share of business in assigned regions
  • Leading Sales and Account Management
    • Lead operations and day-to-day activities to ensure smooth functioning of businesses and monthly order forecasting for production planning
    • GrowCount share of business and expand relationships within customers identifying influencers, gatekeepers, decision makers within the region of India
    • Deploy strong consultative selling approach with assigned accounts to identify supply chain challenges and develop value creating solutions
    • Interact with regular customers to ensure continuity of existing businesses from orders received to shipments dispatched as per customer requirements
    • Co-ordinate with planning/production and Logistics/Shipping teams to ensure dispatch as per customer timelines, shipping documentations provided to customers and payments received by due-dates
    • Necessary interaction/co-ordination with various departments for samples, regulatory requirements, DMFs and other documentation for new customer & regulatory approvals to meet statutory requirements
    • Manage business development activities to add new customers and increase market coverage of existing range of products in untapped regions
  • Market Intelligence and Research
    • Identify markets and customers for new products and products in pipeline
    • Assist regional directors for successful launch and ensuring sales of new products once commercialized
    • Provide market research, market intelligence and key information on international market trends and competition to help division with future export strategies

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 15 to 20 years of relevant industry experience in API Sales and Business Development (India market focus preferred)
  • High energy individual with positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in hands-on, collaborative fashion with many different disciplines both inside and outside of the organization
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to negotiation and closing of partnership agreements
  • Strong leadership qualities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, relationship management skills, strategic thinking, open-minded and innovative thinking
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with incomplete information
  • Good negotiation and presentation techniques
  • Well-versed sales techniques, consultative selling, customer psychology and purchasing patterns
