Senior Engineering Director

About the Role:

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Engineering Director to lead our engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that align with the hotel's overall mission, vision, values, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business strategies for the hotel engineering department that support achievement of the hotel's goals.
  • Monitor status regularly and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Develop the annual budget in conjunction with the Executive Committee.
  • Participate in the development of the annual marketing, sales, and yield management plans and strategies.
  • Continually improve hotel engineering department operations and adhere to hotel brand standards.
  • Maximize profitability and revenue by directing the Engineering department.
  • Manage the Engineering department and third-party vendors to ensure superior service and quality.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs.
  • Review contracts and negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with vendors, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Interpret plans and contract terms with the Engineering team, management, clients, and vendors.
  • Monitor compliance with building safety codes, health and safety laws, and other regulations.
  • Maintain Responsible Business programs and training for the hotel.
  • Manage hotel renovations and coordinate project status with the Regional Technical Services Office, architects, licensing agencies, contractors, and hotel management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
