Strategic Procurement Leader

The Strategic Procurement Leader is responsible for driving and overseeing the procurement function to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services meeting organizational standards for cost, quality, and efficiency.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead and manage the purchasing team providing guidance, training, and performance management.

  • Develop and implement global procurement strategies achieving cost savings and process efficiencies.
  • Establish policies and procedures standardizing and optimizing procurement operations.
  • Source evaluate and develop suppliers worldwide ensuring high-quality cost-effective and reliable supply.
  • Negotiate complex contracts pricing and delivery terms with international and domestic vendors.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships managing performance through KPIs and regular reviews.
  • Oversee creation approval and tracking of purchase orders requisitions and contracts.
  • Ensure alignment of purchasing activities with organizational goals inventory requirements and budget constraints.
  • Monitor inventory levels collaborating with Operations and Warehouse teams to forecast future supply needs.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and international trade regulations import/export laws customs tariffs.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records supplier databases and audit-ready documentation.
  • Prepare and present strategic purchasing reports cost analysis and market insights to executive management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Supply Chain Management International Trade or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive procurement/purchasing experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience with international sourcing supplier negotiations and contract management.
  • Strong analytical negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems SAP NetSuite Oracle.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of international logistics customs compliance and global supply chain dynamics.
  • Experience in supplier risk management business continuity planning.
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives in procurement.
  • Multilingual skills for international vendor management.
