Account Manager Job Summary

The Account Manager role at Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. involves responsible for managing direct sales to meet business objectives and customer satisfaction within a designated territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Sales and Customer Satisfaction: Achieve strong customer satisfaction with brand equity.
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Deliver revenue growth for the assigned product portfolio within the genomics group.
  • Lead Generation and Progression: Responsible for lead generation, progression, and closing of sales for high-end genomics platforms and related consumables.
  • Technical Discussions: Conduct technical discussions with customers, including one-on-one, seminars, and pre-sales demonstrations, to convince them to buy assigned products/technologies.
  • Maintain Relationships: Maintain relationships with existing users to develop them as positive reference sites and drive related consumable sales.
Requirements:
  • Education: M.Sc/M.Tech or PhD in Biotech/Biochemistry/Genetics/Allied Life Sciences.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience with proven trade records.
  • Technical Knowledge: Excellent technical and practical knowledge of Genomics technologies used in Life Sciences.
  • Hands-on Experience: Good hands-on experience with Life-Sciences Instruments such as RT-PCR, NGS, Microarray, etc.
  • Customer Management: Experience in handling customers from diverse segments like Academia, Bio-Pharma, Clinical Oncology, Translational Research, etc.
  • Commercialization: Ability to screen and identify potential customers for selling new products and experience in successfully commercializing new launches.
