Job Title: Application Support

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Java-based microservices applications, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality customer experiences.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance using Splunk, Datadog, and AppDynamics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Java microservices, adhering to industry best practices and delivering scalable, efficient solutions.
  • Analyze system metrics and create monitoring dashboards, enabling data-driven decision making and informed strategic planning.
  • Participate in 24x7 support rotation for critical applications, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and adaptability under pressure.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies for system improvement, fostering innovation and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintenance of business-critical Java-based applications, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Experience in monitoring tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, and Datadog, with a strong understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
  • Strong knowledge of application support practices, Java/J2EE technologies, debugging techniques, incident management processes, and related frameworks and tools.

Required Skills:

  • Java, Applications Support, Splunk, App Dynamics, and AWS expertise.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of experience in Java Applications Support, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Knowledge of Java Exception handling and troubleshooting, including Null Pointer Exception, SQL Exceptions, and Out of Memory exceptions.
  • Understanding of Heap Dump analysis and API performance issue debugging using APM tools.
  • Experience with Splunk querying and various filter conditions.
  • Awareness of AWS services, Auto-scaling, S3 bucket management, Lambda function implementation, and Incident management process standard operating procedures.
