Procurement Specialist Job Description

The Procurement Specialist is a key member of our organization, responsible for researching and evaluating software products to meet the company's needs. This includes negotiating with vendors to obtain the best possible pricing, terms, and conditions.

This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, and 5-15 years of experience in software procurement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and evaluate software products to meet company needs.
  • Negotiate with vendors to obtain best possible pricing, terms, and conditions.
  • Organize all procurement activities from purchase request to purchase order.
  • Manage post-purchase tasks and track software renewals.
  • Evaluate software usage and recommend optimization strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5-15 years of experience in software procurement.
  • Familiarity with software licensing and contract management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills.
