
Visionary Operations Leader

Job Description:
The General Manager Operations plays a pivotal role in the company's success, overseeing daily operations and leading employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures to drive growth and profitability.
- Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth, ensuring alignment with company vision and objectives.
- Establish policies that promote a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the work of executives across various departments, including IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and others.
- Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the CEO to develop and implement fundraising ventures, expanding the company's reach and revenue streams.
- Participate in expansion activities, including investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances, and other strategic partnerships.
- Manage relationships with partners and vendors, ensuring seamless collaboration and mutual benefit.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, maintaining a strong reputation and minimizing risk.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; an MBA is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in senior leadership roles, with a focus on operations management and strategic planning.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on creative solutions and innovative approaches.
- Experience developing and implementing operational strategies and initiatives, driving growth and improvement.
- Knowledge of business process optimization, supply chain management, and logistics, with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Financial acumen and budget management skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including partners, vendors, and customers.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the ship repair & upgradation, shipbuilding, defence technology, equipment sales & services, and weapons & electronics industries.
- Familiarity with maritime regulations and safety standards, with a focus on compliance and risk management.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and ISO standards, with a focus on continuous improvement and excellence.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams, with a focus on coordination and collaboration.
