Freight Forwarding Team Leader

The ideal candidate will oversee the effective management of cargo delivery, ensuring timely and accurate results for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate operational functions for Imports & Exports departments, monitoring workflows and resource allocation.
- Ensure speedy delivery of cargo to customers, adhering to relevant customs regulations and standards.
- Supervise shift managers and their teams, reviewing KPIs regularly to ensure quality, timelines, and communication expectations are met.
- Identify areas of inefficiency or data integrity issues, proposing improvement plans and automation strategies.
- Facilitate collaboration with service providers and promote a culture of operational thinking and ownership within the team.
- Set goals and objectives for the team, utilizing established indicators and tools to optimize revenue and manage accounting matters effectively.
Requirements:
- Proven knowledge of freight forwarding procedures and financials: TSA, CBP, IATA, FMC, BIS.
- Bachelor's degree in any field (desired: Commerce, International Trade, Logistics).
- Minimum 8-11 years of industry-related experience, with 5+ years in team leadership and a preference for freight forwarding background.
