Business Development Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to drive our SME business growth in the region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to achieve targets, managing budgets and financials, and leading high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Strategic Management
  • Develop and implement business plans aligned with divisional objectives
  • Support workforce planning by providing inputs on departmental forecasts
Core Responsibilities

Drive business development and execution of SME businesses in the region

  • Prepare yearly business development plans in line with bank strategy for SME clients
  • Achieve target set in yearly budget for new and existing clients and manage related financials
  • Articulate region-specific strategy for product growth and liaison with Product Development Team
  • People and Team Management including career management, coaching, and mentoring critical talent
  • Formulate recruitment and resourcing strategies (e.g., location strategies)
  • Review and coordinate quality principles and processes
  • Sponsor quality standards in management initiatives
  • Ensure stringent fraud control policies and minimal NPAs
People Management or Self-Management Responsibilities

Develop continuous talent pipeline for key roles and provide mentoring for high-potential talent

  • Monitor and enable direct reports' goal achievement and ensure effective performance management implementation
  • Develop talent within the department through guidance, feedback, coaching, and development opportunities
Risk and Internal Control Responsibilities

Govern risk-related policy implementation for the department to meet regulatory and internal control requirements

  • Review internal control systems implementation and take corrective action based on audit findings
