Strategic HR Director

The primary objective of this role is to spearhead the transformation and embedding of organisational culture. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with the ability to champion the company's values through inspirational behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive reports on HR, payroll, and learning and development, including employment law, HR policy, best practice, and workforce development.
  • Advise on the development of effective employment policies across the organisation.
  • Offer professional leadership and support to HR staff, promoting knowledge sharing and adherence to relevant professional standards.
  • Ensure compliance with current regulations, accepted professional standards, policies, and procedures, as well as legislation.
  • Oversee the execution of the HR Strategy and core areas of the HR department, including recruitment, employee relations, workforce administration, employee engagement, payroll, reward, and recognition, and maintaining and improving HR systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement with a focus on engagement & welfare activities, maximising productivity, devolving HR responsibilities to line managers, and building leadership capability.
  • Take a lead role in transforming and strengthening the organisational culture, ensuring that the company values and approach are displayed.
  • Develop and implement a plan for diversity, equality, and inclusion that aligns with business strategy and commitments.
  • Regularly coach, mentor, and support senior and high-potential colleagues to identify individual strengths and development needs, develop effective relationships, and encourage retention.

Requirements:

  • Education Requirement: Master's Degree in Human Resources
  • Work Experience: 12+ years of experience in an HR Role
  • Ability to create people strategy
  • Commercial acumen and experience of using metrics for driving performance
  • Pro-active attitude and passion for leading with integrity
  • Superior interpersonal skills and positive, approachable manner
  • Proactive and agile work ethic
  • Curious mindset, thinking innovatively and rationally about concerns and coming up with creative solutions
  • Experience of managing a skilled team and making quick but rational decisions
  • In-depth knowledge of Employment Law
  • Thorough and methodical attention to detail
  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and use initiative
