Purchase Executive Job Description

Our organization seeks a highly skilled Purchase Executive to join our team in the Cosmetics and Nutraceutical Division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, packaging items, and consumables while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

  • The successful candidate will identify and source raw materials, active ingredients, fragrances, and packaging items for cosmetics products.
  • Raising and managing purchase orders in line with production and inventory needs is a key responsibility.
  • Candidate must coordinate with vendors for price negotiations, lead times, and quality compliance.
  • Evaluating vendor performance based on quality, delivery time, and cost is essential.
  • Maintaining records and documentation for audits and quality checks is crucial.
  • Collaborating with the QA/QC department to ensure receipt of materials as per specifications is vital.
  • Tracking and maintaining optimum inventory levels and updating the Inventory Management System are key responsibilities.
  • Coordinating logistics and following up for on-time delivery of materials is also important.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes in the cosmetics/pharma industry.
  • Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and cosmetic regulatory requirements.
  • Negotiation and vendor management skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems is required.
  • Excellent analytical and documentation skills are necessary.
  • Time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are critical.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Problem-solving mindset and cost-conscious approach are essential.
