Bell Captain Job Description

At Accor, we're committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a Bell Captain, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our guests feel welcome and supported throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the bell desk is organized and functional at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working area, as well as departmental equipment.
  • Provide smooth and efficient baggage handling for all arrival and departure guests.
  • Develop strong relationships with reception, information, and cashier teams, as well as other departments.
  • Respond to guest calls for bell stand and door services.
  • Delegate bell boys to collect baggage from guest rooms.
  • Follow up with guests to verify complete satisfaction with their experience.
  • Manage inventory of items on loan and collect them before check-out.
  • Tag and record all baggage movements.
  • Update luggage movement register and sign off daily.
  • Distribute guest and departmental letters and couriers accurately.
  • Ensure all bills are paid and room keys returned before guests depart.
  • Coordinate hotel shuttle bus service and airport transfers.
  • Order newspapers for the next day and monitor delivery to guest rooms.
  • Observe safety and security rules at all times.
  • Alert management of unattended packages and strangers on the premises.
  • Check daily arrival lists for VVIPs or guests with special needs.
  • Prepare for group movements and ensure sufficient staffing.
  • Greet guests warmly and professionally, anticipating their needs.
  • Recognize returning and VIP guests, welcoming them back.
  • Assist guest service team with escorting guests to and from accommodations.
  • Inform guests about hotel features, facilities, and emergency procedures.
  • Assist with luggage and acknowledge guests by name.
  • Make deliveries to guest rooms as instructed.
  • Store and retrieve luggage and objects for guests.
  • Be aware of daily hotel activities, group, and VIP arrivals.
  • Communicate special guest requests to the assistant front office manager or manager on duty.
  • Ensure the lobby, bell closet, and work areas are clean and presentable.
  • Assist security team with scanning guest luggage.
  • Offer assistance to guests at all times.
  • Provide an efficient luggage storage, delivery, and collection service.
  • Perform other work as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of hotel fire and security procedures.
