Business Development Lead – Parametric Insurance
About the Role:Our organization seeks a highly motivated Business Development Lead to drive growth in our Parametric Insurance vertical. This role is ideal for a candidate with a proven track record in building sales from the ground up, strong industry relationships, and deep knowledge of parametric risk solutions.
As a key member of our team, you will lead strategic initiatives, build new markets, and drive sustainable revenue, especially in climate-sensitive and underserved segments.
We are looking for a skilled professional who can design and implement the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for the Parametric Insurance vertical, build the entire sales function from scratch, identify and convert new business opportunities, customer segments, and revenue streams, develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensure consistent deal closures, forge and manage partnerships, generate, qualify, and nurture leads, tailor sales strategies to parametric product models, collaborate cross-functionally with product, actuarial, tech, and operations teams to deliver custom parametric insurance solutions, monitor market trends, weather and climate risk data, government policy shifts, and competitor offerings, represent the company at relevant industry forums, conferences, and exhibitions, build and mentor a lean sales team to scale operations, and deliver performance reports, revenue forecasts, and business insights to senior leadership.
