Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead our lending growth initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive merchant/partner acquisition and lending growth.
About MagicpinMagicpin is a hyperlocal commerce technology company that offers digital convenience to local merchants and real-world experiences for customers. Our proprietary tech stack provides an end-to-end app-based retail marketing platform that enables local retailers to increase traffic and transactions through promotions, while also connecting offline commerce with online.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategies to drive merchant/partner acquisition and lending growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with merchants and partners to understand their credit requirements and offer tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with credit teams to evaluate applications, analyze financial health, and ensure robust risk management.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design and enhance lending products that cater to merchant needs.
- Monitor loan portfolios to maintain credit quality and ensure timely repayments.
- Ensure all processes comply with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Proven experience in merchant lending, credit, or financial services, ideally in a fintech/startup environment.
- Strong understanding of credit underwriting, risk assessment, and merchant ecosystem.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Data-driven mindset with a knack for problem-solving and process improvement.
- MBA/PGDM in Finance, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
