Strategic Initiatives Director Role

The role of the Strategic Initiatives Director involves prioritizing, planning, and executing initiatives for global partnerships. A high-visibility leadership position, this requires a visionary strategist who can manage complex projects, secure collaborations, and ensure timely delivery.

This position involves working closely with the executive team, event partners, and sponsors globally to achieve strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio Management:
    • Prioritize initiatives based on impact, return on investment, and strategic value.
    • Develop and maintain a phased roadmap for the next 36 months (0–12m, 12–24m, 24–36m).
    • Monitor progress, risks, and ensure deliverables are on track.
  • Execution & Delivery:
    • Lead cross-functional teams and vendors to execute initiatives.
    • Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and key performance indicators.
    • Ensure initiatives launch on schedule.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with global policymakers, enterprise executives, event organizers, and sponsors.
    • Present progress updates to leadership, sponsors, and partners.
    • Buildeffective relationships with vendors, agencies, and external collaborators.
  • Sponsorship & Revenue Enablement:
    • Support sponsorship strategy by aligning initiatives with corporate and NGO partner goals.
    • Ensure deliverables for sponsors are met with excellence.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Oversee initiative managers, consultants, and interns.
    • Establish clear goals, dashboards, and reporting systems.
