As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Somfy's home automation solutions in key customer segments. With a strong background in sales and technical product expertise, you will be responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities in high-end residential, commercial buildings, and hospitality sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Map customer segments to understand addressable markets and formulate strategies for maximizing business share
  • Implement Somfy's POS branding strategy at select furnishing stores, training sales staff on Somfy solutions
  • Generate project leads and develop relationships with target customers (architects, interior designers, project developers)
  • Enhance product awareness and brand visibility in the market
  • Collect data on consumers, competitors, and market trends, consolidating information into actionable reports and presentations

You will be expected to fulfill area sales budgets by managing business from existing customers, developing a well-balanced customer portfolio, achieving sales and collection targets, and working closely with customers to ensure business growth.

Qualifications:
  • Retail sales experience with a focus on technical products
  • 6-10 years of experience in the building, construction, lighting, automation, furniture, flooring, or home accessories industry
  • Relevant product and industry knowledge
  • Experience networking with furnishing stores, architects, builders, contractors, and developers
  • Basic IT knowledge, MS Excel, and Word proficiency
