The Retail Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing the human resources function and procurement activities for a retail organization. This role requires strong HR and procurement skills, with the ability to attract and retain top talent, negotiate with suppliers, and manage budgets effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement HR strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training processes.
- Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management.
- Develop and manage employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to source high-quality products and services.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage relationships.
- Manage procurement budgets and ensure cost savings.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field. MBA or MS in HR/Purchasing is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR and procurement, preferably in retail.
- Strong HR and procurement skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Certifications: SHRM-CP, HRBP, or CPHR certification is a plus.
- Experience: Experience in retail or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of HR software and procurement systems.
- Ability to work in an office environment.
- Ability to sit for long periods and use a computer.
