Job Title: Merchandiser - Custom Manager

We seek a detail-driven individual to oversee our custom order lifecycle, from client brief to delivery.

  • Execute custom orders, including design interpretation, sampling, costing, production timelines, and final delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients, designers, and internal teams to understand specifications and technical requirements.
  • Translate client briefs into actionable production plans.
  • Maintain custom order trackers, T&A calendars, and internal coordination sheets.

The ideal candidate has a B.FTech degree from NIFT, 4–5 years of merchandising experience, and proficiency in MS Excel, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, and PLM or order management systems.

This is a cross-functional role requiring close collaboration with designers, production teams, artisans, and global clients to deliver high-end, customized products that meet aesthetic, technical, and delivery specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster effective communication between clients, designers, and production teams to ensure seamless execution of custom orders.
  • Conduct feasibility analysis for custom requirements and ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with weaving clusters, dyeing units, and artisans to achieve timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze market trends and customer preferences to inform product development and pricing strategies.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • B.FTech from NIFT (mandatory)
  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in merchandising, preferably in home furnishings, textiles, or bespoke fashion/luxury sector
  • Strong knowledge of textile techniques, materials, dyeing processes, and hand-crafted production methods
  • Excellent understanding of custom order workflows – from client brief to production to delivery

This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
