About the Role

We are seeking a Strategic Business Development Director to join our team at the Indian School of Business. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding our client base, building the ISB brand, and achieving ambitious targets from the corporate world.

Key Responsibilities

You will leverage and expand existing customer relationships by understanding their business, situation, and needs better than they do. This includes remapping key role holders and stakeholders, maintaining a customer relationship matrix and calendar, replicating past programs for new audiences, and surfacing new opportunities for custom programs.

To acquire new customers, you will target high-propensity customer organizations in your region based on revenues, headcount, industry trends, etc. You will map key role holders in target accounts, create a focused plan for acquiring the target accounts, conduct basic research about the organization, reach out to build strategic relationships across key role holders and stakeholders, think through and validate the likely challenges and business need of the organization, share the ISB portfolio of offerings, identify and scope out new opportunities, and regularly plan for the next set of targeted accounts.

You will bring sales opportunities to closure by having a consultative sales mindset when approaching an opportunity, preparing approach notes and proposal documents, managing diagnostic studies and bringing in Learning Consultants/Learning Architects/Faculty/Sr. Director/etc. to support the sales process when required, translating client-provided information into clear program objectives and learning outcomes, shepherding the proposal through its various stages of evaluation and feedback by internal stakeholders, negotiating and closing multi-year, multi-cohort deals, coordinating legal discussions and signing formalities, providing all necessary handover documents for seamless program delivery, documenting contacts, interactions, and other key details in Salesforce, collecting all payments as per defined milestones, and maintaining up-to-date account records, contact details, opportunity status, etc. on Salesforce.
