Job Description:

Softeger is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Expert to join our team as a Firewall Architect. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust firewall solutions to protect our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implementation: Design and implement firewall architectures and configurations that meet the organization's security requirements and best practices.
  • Policy Configuration and Optimization: Configure and optimize firewall policies to ensure alignment with the organization's security requirements and industry standards.
  • Network Threat Prevention: Utilize network threat prevention features to proactively safeguard the environment from emerging threats.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues related to firewalls, network security, and other related components.
  • Change Management: Validate change request forms and perform major configuration changes, disaster recovery drills, and incident management activities.
  • Endpoint Protection and Email Security: Perform monitoring of endpoint protection and email security dashboards, conduct risk analysis, and submit daily risk profile reports.
  • Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve security incidents and improve firewall infrastructure, ensuring clear documentation of processes, configurations, and incident resolutions.

Requirements:

  • Negotiable Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
  • Networking Fundamentals: Strong knowledge of MPLS, VRF, VPN, and network routing protocols.
  • TCP/IP Expertise: In-depth understanding of TCP/IP and network protocols, with practical experience in working with Internet technologies.
  • Firewall Management and Threat Detection: Proven experience in firewall configuration, management, and troubleshooting, with a focus on threat detection and incident response.
  • Firewall Solutions: Hands-on experience in the architecture and components of Palo Alto Networks Firewalls or Check Point Firewalls.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (preferred).
