Localization Project Manager

A seasoned and meticulous Localization Project Manager is required to spearhead global expansion initiatives. This role will oversee localization projects, leveraging translation management system (TMS) tools and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and localization vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage localization requests and projects across product user interfaces, documentation, and support content.
  • Define scope, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders and business priorities.
  • Track and report project progress, risks, and blockers to stakeholders.

TMS Tools Mastery:

  • Oversee translation workflows in Smartling and XTM, including project setup, automation, and quality checks.
  • Troubleshoot TMS tool issues and work with engineering or vendor support as needed.
  • Maintain and apply translation memories, glossaries, and style guides to ensure linguistic consistency.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Documentation, Marketing, and Support teams to gather requirements and prepare content for localization.
  • Ensure source content readiness and localization best practices are embedded early in workflows.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in localization project management or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Smartling and XTM.
  • Strong understanding of TMS, translation workflows, translation memories, and terminology management.
