Jaipur Rugs, a social enterprise connecting rural craftsmanship with global markets through its luxurious handmade carpets, offers an exclusive range of hand-knotted and hand-woven rugs made using 2500 years old traditional art forms.
The business model provides livelihood to artisans at their doorstep, changing the standard practice of involving middlemen to work with artisanal communities. The network spans over 40,000 artisans across 600 rural Indian villages in five states of India.
The modern and eclectic collection of rugs, made using the finest wool and silk, has won numerous global awards and is currently exported to more than 45 countries. The sales arm, located in Georgia, Atlanta, handles client expectations and achieves company goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing project business through architects and interior designers primarily in the residential space
- Networking with key decision makers and building relationships socially at events / exhibitions
- Driving sales growth and expanding the customer base
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in sales or a similar field
- An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Design, Marketing, or CRM
- Experience handling project business through architects and interior designers
