Job Title: Commercial Expansion Specialist

Drive business growth in specific industry verticals/territories through commercial expansion activities, including cross-selling and managing customer relationships and appropriate customer support thereby ensuring achievement of sales targets.


Main Responsibilities:
  1. Provide inputs into formulation of a sales plan for the assigned vertical/territory in terms of identifying potential clients, highlighting customer requirements, and forecasting market trends.
  2. Monitor sales targets at the territory/vertical level on a weekly basis, highlight deviations, and initiate corrective action as required.
  3. Ensure adherence to sales performance at the territory level.
  4. Identify potential business opportunities from multiple channels and develop a pursuit plan.
  5. Negotiate and finalize terms with clients in terms of product specifications, payment terms, and timelines and obtain approval from the Reporting Manager.
  6. Build and maintain relationships with customers in the territory to facilitate deep understanding of their needs and direct swift resolution of any customer queries.
  7. Identify opportunities for integrated solutions i.e. orders involving Motors/Automation Products Systems to Reporting Managers.
  8. Ensure specifications of the customer are documented in the relevant formats and forwarded to the concerned department.
  9. Liaise with the operations team at the center to ensure execution of orders in line with predefined timelines and criteria.
  10. Liaise with the customer on a regular basis and ensure changes in order specifications are communicated to the concerned department.
  11. Ensure collections from clients as per contractual agreement.
  12. Ensure timely dispatch of the goods to the client's site as per the delivery schedule.
  13. Ensure adherence to policies/processes to enhance response quality and minimize response time to customer queries and provide the support required by customers.
  14. Lead establishment of service centers or identify partner agencies to provide quick after-sales service to customers.
  15. Provide technical support to customers on after-sales related issues.
  16. Ensure all customer complaints are recorded and resolved within predefined timelines.
  17. Ensure that all customer interaction activities are properly logged and updated in appropriate systems.
  18. Ensure timely response to the customer on any queries/issues raised by them during finalization/executions/post-execution sales.
  19. Liaise with the network of distributors and dealers in the territory and escalate any significant issues to the superior.
  20. Ensure effective management of all activities related to dealers such as stock booking, raising invoices, making payments etc.
  21. Keep abreast with developments in the territory and provide data to the marketing team on potential opportunities for expansion/diversification into new markets/geographies.
  22. Ensure Regular Updates mentioned in Reports to have one-to-one discussion about future plan with Superiors.
