The Role Holder is responsible for driving the strategy and execution of Small to Medium Enterprises (SME) businesses in their respective regions as per set targets.
Key Responsibilities- Develops and implements strategic plans in line with divisional objectives, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Supports workforce planning by providing inputs on departmental workforce forecasts, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Manages operating frameworks, provides guidance and support, ensures implementation and review of work processes to achieve high-performance standards and continuous improvement.
- Driving SME business growth in designated regions, meeting predefined targets.
- Preparation of yearly business development plans aligned with bank strategies for SME clients in the region.
- Achieving target-set budget for new and existing clients, effectively managing budget and financials related to these targets.
- Formulation of region-specific strategies for product growth, liaising with product development teams to ensure effective implementation.
- People and team management, including career development, coaching, and mentoring critical talent within the team.
- Recruitment and resourcing strategies, e.g. location strategies, to meet business needs.
- Review and coordination of quality principles and processes to maintain high standards.
- Ensuring quality standards are met through sponsorship and implementation of management initiatives in the region.
- Maintaining stringent fraud control policies and minimizing non-performing assets (NPAs) in the region.
- Developing a continuous talent pipeline for key roles within the department, providing mentoring opportunities for high-potential talent.
- Monitoring and enabling direct reports to achieve goals and key performance indicators, ensuring effective implementation of the performance management process.
- Guiding talent development within the department by providing ongoing feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to enable achievement of defined goals.
- Governing the implementation of risk-related policies and processes for the department, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements.
- Reviewing internal control systems and taking corrective action based on audit findings to ensure robust risk management practices.
