Business Development Manager for Generic Medicines

Truemeds, a leading e-pharmacy based in Mumbai, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the growth of its generic medicines vertical. This role involves managing relationships with distributors, pharmacies, and hospitals to increase sales and market share.
About TruemedsWe are committed to providing affordable healthcare solutions to customers across India. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing strategies to accelerate top-line growth and inventory rationalisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement B2B sales strategies to achieve company targets, focusing on the distribution of generic medicines to healthcare institutions, pharmacies, distributors, and institutional buyers.
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify potential B2B customers, negotiate deals, and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with key clients to ensure consistent business growth.
- Market Research & Business Development: Conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth in the generic medicine sector and develop initiatives to increase the company's market share.
- Sales Reporting & Data Analysis: Track sales performance, using MS Excel and other tools to analyse sales data, generate insights, and create reports for management.
- Process Optimization & Team Collaboration: Work with internal teams to ensure efficient sales operations, resolve any client concerns, and optimise the B2B sales process.
Bachelor's degree in a related field. 3-4 years of experience as a Medical Representative (MR) or in sales at a generic medicine manufacturing company or a major distributor of generic medicines. Strong knowledge of the medicine supply chain and experience selling to suppliers, vendors, and distributors.
Salary and Benefits:We offer a competitive salary of ₹1,200,000 - ₹1,500,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
