We are seeking a skilled and creative marketer to join our team as a Retention Manager. This is an opportunity for you to make a significant impact on our user base by developing strategies to prevent user churn and reactivate lapsed listeners.

Your mission will be laser-focused on understanding the reasons behind user churn and finding innovative solutions to address these issues. You will work closely with our data team to leverage predictive models and analyze data to identify users who are at risk of churning.

The role requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on designing and launching proactive campaigns to re-engage at-risk users. You will also be responsible for owning win-back campaigns and managing the end-to-end strategy for bringing back churned subscribers.

You will partner with our Product and Content teams to provide clear data and qualitative insights on why users are leaving, helping them prioritize roadmap features that address core churn drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • At-Risk User Intervention (Churn Prevention): Identify churn signals, design and launch 'save' campaigns, and work with the data team to leverage predictive models.
  • Lapsed User Reactivation (Win-Back Strategy): Own win-back campaigns, craft irresistible win-back hooks, and test and learn rigorously.
  • Analytics & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Measure what matters, provide key feedback to Product and Content teams, and partner with Core Retention.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience in churn management, user reactivation, or save strategies within a B2C subscription or mobile app business.
  • Innovative Problem-Solver: Think creatively, challenge assumptions, and develop industry-leading churn-mitigation strategies.
  • Hands-On Campaign Execution: Direct experience building, launching, and optimizing campaigns using marketing automation platforms.
  • Analytically Sharp: Fluency in digging through data, strong proficiency in SQL, and experience with product analytics tools.
  • An Experimenter's Mindset: Design and interpret A/B tests to get clear, actionable answers.
  • A Passion for Music: Understand what makes users stay and craft resonant campaigns.
