Sales and Business Development Professional

Cognex is seeking a highly skilled Sales and Business Development Professional to join our team. As a Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and closing profitable business opportunities at assigned accounts.
In this role, you will engage with clients at various levels to understand their business objectives, plans, and challenges. You will develop a trust relationship with existing customers, nurture prospects, and build new points of contact.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing a 12-24 month pipeline of well-qualified incremental business opportunities
- Maintaining detailed knowledge of installed Cognex technology and competitive products
- EFFECTIVELY DEMONSTRATING PRODUCTS TO CUSTOMERS USING THE COGNEX STANDARD SALES PROCESS
- Playing a lead role in contract negotiations and ensuring contract compliance
- Cooperating with integration partners to close strategic opportunities
- Assisting at trade shows and other marketing events
- Maintaining operational excellence by accurate forecasting and upward information flow
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A proven track record of sales performance in the automation or similar industry
- Proven track record of operating in solutions sales environments with longer and more complex sales cycles
- Ability to build long-term account and partner relationships
- Energetic, flexible, and capable of operating remotely
- Ability to travel intensively across assigned territories
- University degree or equivalent work experience
- Proven sales experience and a good track record for exceeding sales targets
- Experience in selling technical products to all levels of an organization
- Experience in selling vision products (preferable)
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000-$120,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of Cognex.
