
Regional Business Development Lead

The primary role of an Associate Market Manager is to support the team lead in identifying commercialization opportunities, tracking, building and maintaining a tender database, submitting timely bids, and ensuring seamless product launches in assigned markets.
This position is part of the European team and reports directly to the Associate Director, Europe Generic Formulations.
Key Responsibilities- Sales: Responsible for sales performance in both hospital and retail channels, with monthly reporting requirements and internal stakeholder management.
- Licensing: Identifies potential B2B partners for in-licensing products and out-licensing Biocon's portfolio products in Europe, Ukraine, and Israel. This includes signing CDAs, supporting business case preparation, negotiating deals, and signing commercial contracts.
- Planning and Operations: Develops and maintains monthly forecasts for products, working closely with partners and internal stakeholders to negotiate distribution contracts, terms sheets, LOIs, licensing agreements, and CDAs.
- Market Research: Generates competitive intelligence on product pricing and market data, keeping this information up-to-date at all times.
The ideal candidate will have between 5-10 years' experience handling sales and/or business development operations in the pharmaceutical sector, specifically within the Europe region. Experience in licensing, alliance management, and knowledge of the European regulatory framework are significant advantages. Additionally, proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, SAP, and other relevant software is expected. A strong educational background, such as an MBA or PGDM from a leading business school, is also required.
The ability to understand and navigate the commercial landscapes of France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands is highly beneficial, with fluency in the respective languages being a significant advantage.
