Job Title: Territory Expansion Specialist
Job Description- Create a strategic business plan to drive market penetration and optimize product availability within assigned territories.
- Identify key towns, appoint distributors, and onboard them with our sales processes and systems in line with our business strategy.
- Facilitate the hiring, induction, and training of Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) to ensure alignment with our sales methodologies and engage ISRs to achieve high retention rates.
- Establish strong relationships with customers to uncover their needs, drive orders, and increase the number and variety of Stock-Keeping Units (SKUs) stocked.
- Conduct regular sales calls to coach the team, increase the number of orders taken, check stock levels, and ensure proper merchandising at each customer location.
- Negotiate customer deliverables/contracts that provide win-win solutions to meet account objectives while satisfying customer needs.
- Ensure stores are merchandised and maintain key SKUs in accordance with our expectations to maximize product availability and potential sales.
- Demonstrate the superiority of our products from the customer's perspective.
- Influence customers to maintain a proper balance of stock and market credit relative to accounts receivable and periodically review their financial health.
- Conduct monthly reviews of channel performance and create plans to address lagging channels to meet channel targets.
- Influence distributors to carry stock and adhere to route plans that ensure the implementation of trade & consumer promotion plans.
- Ensure adequate daily stock replenishment to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets through accurate forecasting.
- Build a quality customer database, territory information, and have a competitive landscape of the territory.
- Integrate the digital customer journey with the customer lifecycle to support demand creation & retention e.g., Point-of-Sale App, self-serviced app/web, learning management systems, retail communities, webinars etc. Act in alignment with compliance and regulatory expectations.
