Assistant Manager - Pursuit Specialist

Bid & Pursuit Support Specialist :

This role is varied and will give you exposure to the full range of bid and pursuit support. You will have two main areas of focus:

- Firstly, you will support the business by working from templates and standard content to produce proposal documents and supporting materials in response to RFPs/ITTs in line with the firm's standard processes and brand guidelines.

- Secondly, as required, under guidance from the Pursuit or Bid Manager, you will support larger UK and global opportunities by ensuring the correct project management framework and/or "virtual war room" is set up and managed, background research is completed, internal governance processes are followed, an action tracker is maintained with any issues escalated, and support the production of a high-quality final bid document and additional collateral.

Key responsibilities (direct business support):

- Knowledgeable of the firm's guidelines, processes and brand guidelines to ensure all proposals and client collateral meet the minimum standards set out by the firm.

- Work collaboratively with client facing teams to produce key proposal collateral (Agenda slides, Proposal Documents, Presentation materials such as slides or placemats etc).

- Link in specialist skills from the wider bids and pursuits team when appropriate (Research, Account Management, Design etc).

- Manage the close out process to ensure any new content or credentials are captured.

Key responsibilities (supporting strategically important opportunities):

- Work with the Bid and/or Pursuit Manager to identify, agree and map out the appropriate project management process for each opportunity.

- Keep and update an action tracker, ensuring deliverables are met and any issues are escalated immediately.

- Build a "virtual war room" in Miro to ensure key activities are completed and key information is captured and maintained throughout the pursuit.

- Set up and attend regular calls with the client facing teams during opportunities and take responsibility for updating the "virtual war room".

- Work with the wider pursuits team to ensure key deliverables such as company and stakeholder research and the design process are completed at the appropriate time.

- Work with client facing teams to ensure they are supported throughout the process and follow the correct processes and methodologies to increase our chances of success.

- Manage the close out process at the end of any bid or pursuit, including updating the CRM system.

- Create first drafts of bid documents and any collateral to be sent to clients, working closely with the designers.

Other responsibilities:

- Ad hoc projects as requested by the Offshore Team Lead, or Head of Strategic Growth

Required skills and qualifications:

- Proficient in the use of Power point, Excel, and the Microsoft office suite.

- Strong communicator with the ability to develop effective working relationships with senior stakeholders and client facing teams.

- Proven project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines with close attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload.

- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- A desire to continuously learn, improve and innovate, with a particular focus on identifying areas for automation.

- Strong at proofreading and editing.

- Confident with the use of collaborative technology platforms such as live Office 365 documents or SharePoint. Experience with Miro is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
