Key Role of the HR & Payroll Specialist

The HR and Payroll Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality human resources operational support throughout the entire employee lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provides timely, efficient administrative support to employees and managers.
  • Supports various HR processes including payroll, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, data reporting, and compliance.
Employee File Management
  • Maintains accurate, updated, secure digital and physical employee files.
  • Manages sensitive documents like employment contracts, personal information, performance reviews, and disciplinary records.
Onboarding and Offboarding Procedures
  • Prepares new hire paperwork and employment contracts.
  • Coordinates offboarding logistics including final settlements and record archiving.
  • Ensures smooth onboarding process with HR induction.
Payroll Processing Oversight
  • Ensures end-to-end payroll processing for employees adhering to local labor laws.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries.
  • Coordinates with external providers and internal teams.
  • Ensures timely and accurate payroll processing including salaries, deductions, benefits, and taxes.
  • Reconciles discrepancies and stays up-to-date on payroll legislation.
Benefits Administration
  • Administers employee benefits such as health insurance and leave tracking.
  • Tracks absences PTOs and vacation days.
HR System Administration
  • Oversees the company's HRIS platform.
  • Ensures clean data system integrity and optimizes usage.
Cross-Department Liaison
  • Serves as the bridge between HR and Accounting for payroll and employee records.
Compliance and Reporting
  • Creates and delivers HR reports for internal stakeholders.
General HR Support
  • Provides day-to-day administrative support to the wider HR team.
