Job Title:

The role of a Business Expansion Specialist is to develop a thorough understanding of a client's proposition, geography, various sectors, business strengths of the region, tax benefits for an investor, policies, and compliances.

  • Manage the complete investment promotion project of geographies (Economic Development Organisations)
  • Conduct evaluation meetings with companies/conglomerates
  • Engage in discussions with CXOs of companies and develop an understanding of their expansion plans in various international markets
  • Identify companies with business interests to invest/expand in the international markets and generate leads
  • Analyze and formulate reports from data/information gathered from interactions and meetings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact with overseas companies/consultants via various modes of communication like email, telephonic interviews, participating in seminars/networking events, and meetings to understand their expansion plans
  • Identify opportunities for clients
  • Presents a client's geography as a potential business location for company's expansion plans
  • Write proposals, business plan, and analysis
  • Set up meetings with CXO level executives of qualified companies
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on research findings and trends on cross-border investments, Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) to the clients
  • Provide regular updates through the project
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on client's geography and proposition to international companies
  • Manage junior team members and mentor them through the process
  • Author reports containing actionable recommendations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-4 years in Trade promotion bodies/Expert Network/Trade & Investment Promotion/Investment Attraction/SME-Corporate Banking/Economic Development/Market Entry with experience in business development and handling overseas clients
  • Strong industry expertise and networks. Experience of business development will be preferred
  • Fluency in English is must
  • Understanding of Market Entry, Cross-Border Investments, Internationalization via International market expansion
  • Experience of New Business Development and Client Handling
