Job Title: Sales DirectorCompany OverviewSaaki Argus & Averil Consulting is seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our client's Institutional channel sales efforts in Chennai. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing a team of Territory Sales Officers, and implementing effective sales strategies.
Estimated SalaryThe estimated annual salary for this role is ₹15,00,000 - ₹25,00,000 depending on experience.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve sales targets for the Institutional channel in assigned territories.
- Monitor and control sales budgets to ensure optimum resource utilization.
- Ensure product availability and visibility to maintain optimal fill rates and minimize out-of-stock situations.
- Responsible for sales forecasting, targets, and promotions of all categories in assigned territories.
- Influence promotions, in-store merchandising - space, assortment, and displays.
- New product introductions and accounts receivable management by working closely with the team.
- Manage and motivate the team to deliver their metrics.
- Understand individual team member strengths and weaknesses, providing developmental inputs continuously.
- Recruit, test, and hire Territory Sales Officers based on agreed criteria.
- Conduct one-on-one reviews with Territory Sales Officers to build effective communications and understand training needs.
- Provide insights for improving Territory Sales Officers/Field force sales and activity performance.
- 8+ years of experience in sales or a related field.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to analyze sales data and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
