Position Summary:
The Director, Global Partnerships has responsibility for global client management and partners acquisition across an entire market/region. The incumbent will be responsible for sourcing and contracting new strategic partners (distributors, publishers, integrators, government entities) to build testing and learning ecosystems for the academic setting and/or workplace.
The Director, Global Partnerships will have the unique opportunity to build and cultivate long-lasting relationships through negotiating and managing new partnerships and integrations across ETS portfolios. The incumbent will also be responsible for expanding the relationship and business with some existing strategic growth partners. In this role, the Director will serve as a trusted advisor to Program teams and external partners, using strong relation building skills to identify mutually beneficial opportunities with partners in order to best represent our products and services.
Responsibilities:
Business Development and new Partners Acquisition
Strategy and Insights: Analyze market and company data to define potential new markets for ETS ELLA portfolio, regional opportunities, audiences and map potential partners
Business Development: Sourcing and contracting new strategic partners (distributors, publishers, integrator) to build testing and learning ecosystems for the academic setting and/or workplace
Liaison: Will work as a liaison with ETS Corporate Development team and Programs to explore business synergies to grow TOEIC and TOEFL portfolios and business initiatives within newly acquired companies.
Coordination: Identify and facilitate global cross border deals with EPN and Subs
Partners Management
Partner Relations: Develop relationships with leaders and stakeholders of existing strategic partners of all shapes and sizes (like IIE, Kumon or VIPKids) to identify incremental business opportunities and roll out expansion plans
Partner Enablement: The Director will work closely with local EPN members and Subsidiaries for the local sales activation of global partnerships for the benefit of all ETS brands (TOEFL, TOEIC, GRE)
Strategy and Insights: Analyze market and company data alongside partner strategies to define opportunities, audiences, use cases and priorities
Revenue and growth: Drive new business and work alongside EPN members and Subsidiaries / consultants to ensure maximum traction from partners and end users
Client Satisfaction: Work closely with strategic clients to collect information about their needs/preferences related to product and related services
Education:
BA/BS required; Master’s degree preferred
Relevant Years of Experience Required:
8+ years of combined experience of global business management, client management or consulting and partners acquisition and management
At least 5 years of experience in business development or partner relations in various roles (B2B channel management experience preferred)
Experience working at or with EdTech companies desired
Other Requirements (Specialized skill sets, behavioral/technical):
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Must be able to communicate the value proposition of new and existing products/solutions, ability to create original content and edit existing content
Entrepreneurial mindset
Up to 20% travel should be expected
A second language is a plus
