Role Summary The Senior Business Development Executive is an experienced goal-oriented professional responsible for developing and executing targeted outreach strategies managing complex high-value accounts and potentially mentoring junior BDEs This role requires strategic thinking and a proven ability to consistently exceed targets Key Responsibilities - Strategic Account Mapping Develop and execute comprehensive outreach strategies for Tier 1 and enterprise accounts identifying key stakeholders and decision-makers within complex organizational structures - Advanced Qualification Handle complex and strategic qualification calls effectively navigating detailed requirements and large procurement processes before handing off to the sales team - Target Achievement Reporting Consistently meet or exceed aggressive monthly and quarterly targets Provide detailed pipeline forecasts and activity reports to the management team - Mentorship Coaching Optional Serve as a mentor to junior BDEs providing guidance on best practices for cold outreach objection handling and CRM hygiene - Process Improvement Identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements to the lead generation and qualification processes contributing to the overall efficiency of the BD team - Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as a critical liaison between the Business Development Sales and Marketing teams to ensure alignment on target market definitions and campaign messaging QualificationsRequired - Bachelor s degree in Business Marketing or a related field - 3-5 years of demonstrable experience in business development sales or lead generation preferably in a B2B environment - A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly quota and performance metrics - Expertise in using CRM and sales enablement tools for tracking and reporting Preferred - Experience qualifying opportunities in a specific industry e g SaaS FinTech Healthcare - Demonstrated potential or experience in coaching or training junior team members - Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and inform outreach strategy ref updazz com
