Job Description Role Overview: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and developing strategies to expand the company's presence in the event industry. This role requires a proactive, strategic, and creative thinker with a strong understanding of the agency and events ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Growth & Lead Generation - Identify and pursue new business opportunities across events, experiential, and creative content projects. - Develop and execute growth strategies to achieve revenue targets. - Research market trends, competitors, and industry opportunities to inform business decisions. - Create and present tailored proposals and pitch decks to potential clients. 2. Client Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders. - Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the pitching and onboarding process. - Work closely with internal teams (Creative, Production, Client Servicing, 3D/2D Design) to deliver on client expectations. 3. Strategic Collaboration & Team Support - Collaborate with the creative and strategy teams to develop effective brand and marketing solutions. - Work with the operations and finance teams to ensure accurate budgeting, cost estimation, and project profitability. - Support the team in preparing for key presentations, RFPs, and tenders. 4. Reporting & Performance Tracking - Maintain and update sales pipelines and databases. - Report daily on lead progress, closures, and revenue performance. - Analyze conversion data to optimize the business development process. Key Skills & Competencies: - Proven experience in business development or sales within the events, or creative agency space. - Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. - Excellent networking and interpersonal abilities. - Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and pursue high-value opportunities. - Understanding of brand experiences, digital content, and experiential marketing. - Proficiency in preparing proposals, decks, and client presentations. - Highly organized, target-driven, and self-motivated. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field. - 48 years of experience in business development or client servicing (preferably in an event or creative agency). KPIs / Success Metrics: - Number of new clients acquired. - Revenue generated from new and existing clients. - Conversion rate of leads to successful projects. - Client satisfaction and retention rate.
