A Regional Sales Manager (RSM) in the automobile industry is responsible for managing sales in a region, including sales teams, budgets, and customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Sales: Achieve sales targets, generate demand, and run promotional campaigns
- Team management: Train and motivate sales teams, and manage their performance
- Budgeting: Manage the regional budget and ensure it meets financial targets
- Customer relationships: Build and maintain relationships with customers and other relevant bodies
- Market analysis: Track market developments, identify sales opportunities, and analyze competitor performance
- Reporting: Report on sales results, market share, and other metrics
- Planning: Create and execute sales strategies and marketing plans
- Training: Train dealers and their staff on sales processes, products, and CRM
- Networking: Develop and maintain relationships with channel partners and other relevant bodies
