What You'll Do

The Small & Large Commercial Lines Account Managers are primarily responsible for servicing a diverse book of either small or large commercial lines insurance policies while creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, underwriters, and other professionals.  Responsibilities include:

 

  • Providing comprehensive client support and acting as main client contact for book of business
  • Negotiating and selling lines of insurance to clients
  • Developing and maintaining strong personal relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel

 

What You'll Need

  • 3+ years of Small Commercial Insurance Sales or 5+ years of Middle Market Commercial Insurance Sales experience
  • Current P&C license and willingness to acquire CIC designation
  • Commitment to purse continuing education as mandated by the CT Insurance Department
  • Comprehensive knowledge of available commercial lines coverages based on business classification, as well as informed on industry trends and client retention strategies
  • A strong customer service aptitude and the ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous and professional manner
  • Strong attention to detail, decision-making skills, and problem resolution
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and CRM
