Role Overview:
As the AVP – University Partnerships , you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic collaborations with universities to enhance BIA’s academic offerings. This role combines research, business development, and relationship management to drive growth and expand into new markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partnership Strategy:
o Identify and evaluate potential university partners and initiate outreach to establish meaningful collaborations.
o Develop a comprehensive roadmap for university partnerships aligned with organizational objectives and growth aspirations.
o Expand BIA’s program portfolio through innovative alliances and partnerships.
2. Research and Analysis:
o Conduct detailed research and analysis of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and their prominent programs.
o Extrapolate insights from student and talent mobility trends across India and global markets to inform strategic decisions.
3. New Business Development:
o Collaborate with potential partners, to explore and implement new business opportunities.
o Drive expansion efforts into emerging markets across the world.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with university officials, including academic leaders and decision-makers.
o Leverage an extensive network of contacts with key stakeholders to accelerate partnership opportunities.
5. Negotiation and Competitive Advantage:
o Lead business negotiations with university partners to secure competitive advantages for BIA’s programs and collaborations.
o Ensure all agreements are legally compliant and aligned with organizational goals.
6. Performance Monitoring:
o Define and track KPIs to evaluate partnership success and implement strategies for improvement.
o Proactively address challenges and ensure smooth operational collaboration with partner universities.
7. Market Expansion and Insights:
o Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new partnerships (International Universities and domestic) and program developments.
o Collaborate with content, category, and marketing teams to align offerings with market demands.
8. Operational Excellence:
o Oversee the planning and execution of university immersion programs, ensuring seamless delivery.
o Manage learner escalations and resolve issues in collaboration with partner universities.
9. Product and Relationship Alignment:
o Assist marketing and category teams in positioning new products effectively in partnership with universities.
o Maintain and enhance long-term relationships with university partners to foster mutual growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Total Experience:  4-8 years in higher education, EdTech, or related fields.
· Higher Education Expertise:  Previous roles in university operations, program development, or administration are essential.
· Consulting Experience:  Background in consulting within the education domain is highly desirable.
· Strategic Partnerships:  Proven success in establishing and managing collaborations with universities or large institutions.
· Strong Network:  Established relationships and contacts with university heads, academic leaders, and decision-makers are critical.
· EdTech Familiarity:  Strong understanding of educational technology platforms and their integration with university programs.
· Global Markets:  Familiarity with trends in student and talent mobility across the world.
