Job Summary:
The Sales/Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that expand our market reach within the water projects industry. The ideal candidate has expertise in products such as GRP, SDPE, Carbon Steel, ERW, PVC, OPVC, UPVC, or Ductile Iron Pipes, and has experience working with clients and partners in water transmission projects.
Key Responsibilities:Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the water projects and transmission industry, focusing on pipes, fittings, and valves for water infrastructure.Sales Strategy:
Develop and implement sales strategies that target potential customers in the water industry, particularly municipal and industrial water projects.Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key decision-makers in the water infrastructure space.Market Analysis:
Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and potential customer needs.Product Knowledge:
Demonstrate deep understanding of pipeline products including GRP, SDPE, Carbon Steel, ERW, PVC, OPVC, UPVC, and Ductile Iron Pipes, especially in the context of water transmission.Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, marketing, and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are met and to support new product launches.Sales Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on sales metrics, pipeline progress, and forecast projections to senior management.
Qualifications:Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.Experience:
5 to 10 years of experience in sales or business development within the pipes, fittings, and valves industry, with a focus on water transmission or infrastructure projects.Product Knowledge:
Familiarity with materials such as GRP, SDPE, Carbon Steel, ERW, PVC, OPVC, UPVC, and Ductile Iron Pipes; experience with steel pipes in water transmission applications is an asset.Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.Industry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of the water projects and transmission industry, including market trends, challenges, and opportunities.
