About DIRECT SALES COMPANY - A leading global direct sales company listed among the top 100 companies in the industry, is seeking a seasoned Country Manager to lead its India operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prelaunch Phase: Collaborate with international distributors to expand into the Indian market, develop a local launch strategy and build a corporate team.
  • Drive Market Growth: Foster a productive environment that encourages distributor network expansion, retention, and relationships with key leadership. Develop and implement strategies to drive market development.
  • Align Goals: Ensure company goals align with local market conditions and needs.

Internal Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Daily Operations: Lead resource allocation, build culture, and focus on new business development.
  • Assign Performance Goals: Track completion, provide guidance, and feedback to strengthen corporate team knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain Project Timelines: Ensure tasks are accomplished effectively and in alignment with company goals.
  • Develop Budgetary Plans: Implement and maintain resource allocation plans.
  • Coordinate with Headquarters: Leverage shared services and ensure information-flow with the US-based headquarters, European office, and other internal departments.
  • Report Progress: Communicate performance, progress, and feedback to senior management and relevant parties.

External Responsibilities:

  • Develop Local Strategies: Create initiatives targeted to meet local needs.
  • Execute Sales Drives: Grow distributors' organizations through strategic partnerships and meetings.
  • Strengthen Partnerships: Develop strong relationships with high-performing distributors for growth, retention, and leadership development.
  • Identify High Potential Distributors: Set objectives, provide coaching, and individual support for growth.
  • Travel to Events: Attend distributors' events as needed.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve issues or challenges in the country.
  • Benchmarking: Stay informed about Direct Selling trends and advise on changes or applications to the Indian market.
  • Market Image: Strengthen company and market image and reputation.

Qualifications:

  • A business-related first degree or equivalent experience preferred; good general education required.
  • 5+ years' sales experience in management positions in the Direct Selling industry required.
  • International experience.
  • Strategic Planner.
  • Results-driven, entrepreneurial personality.
  • Principled and ethical character, passionate in beliefs with presence and self-confidence to present strongly at all levels.
  • Excellent time-management and prioritization skills, ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-starting personality, pro-active and self-motivated.
  • Communication facilitator.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to gain alignment among various groups with competing interests.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal); any additional language is an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible, particularly regarding working hours, as this role will require supporting evening and weekend business meetings and participating in local corporate events.

Estimated Salary: ₹35-50 lakhs per annum based on qualifications and experience, depending on the candidate's background and performance. This figure may vary based on individual circumstances. We offer a competitive compensation package commensurate with industry standards.
