Resolve To Save Lives (RTSL) is a US-based nonprofit organization that partners with countries, communities, and organizations to prevent cardiovascular disease and prepare for epidemics.

We are committed to saving lives by prioritizing partnerships with governments, national, and local organizations in low- and middle-income countries to co-create, advocate for, and scale up activities in heart disease prevention and epidemic preparedness.

In India, RTSL collaborates with the Indian Hypertension Control Initiative, WHO-India, and the Public Health Foundation of India to provide technical assistance and support across different program areas. Our goals include improving hypertension detection and control, creating a national salt reduction strategic plan, eliminating artificial trans fats, and improving knowledge and behaviors related to high-salt diets.

We also work on strengthening digital platforms and data workflows to improve public healthcare systems in India.

Job Description

The Finance Manager will report directly to the Executive Director India and be responsible for handling all finance and accounting activities relating to the India country office operations.

This includes recommending and implementing financial processes, ensuring compliance with legal and fiscal obligations, filing statutory returns, managing internal and external audit, and maintaining records related to statutory compliances.

Accounting Operations and Management

The Finance Manager will be responsible for all transactions and accounting entries into the Sage Intacct accounting system, coordinating with the Employer of Record and tax advisors on payroll, taxes, expense reports, reimbursements, and other finance issues, facilitating grant making of donor funds, managing bank and cash accounts, payments, ledgers, vouchers, and books of accounts.

Budget and Financial Management

The Finance Manager will support financial planning, including annual and monthly budgeting exercises, accurate and timely reporting of actuals, enabling budget monitoring and tracking of program funds and grants, collaborating with Operations to align resources with program goals, and supporting effective decision-making and implementation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or accounting, with a minimum eight years of overall experience in finance and five years working in finance and accounting with a nonprofit organization.

You will also need advanced understanding of general finance and budgeting, ability to apply accounting concepts, well-versed in PLC taxation and payroll statutory requirements, skilled at navigating matrixed management structures, excellent communication and customer service skills, analytical mindset, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, cloud software, and computerized accounting systems like Sage Intacct.

Compensation Offered

The salary package for this position is attractive, with a competitive salary range of approximately ₹15,00,000 - ₹20,00,000 per annum, depending on qualifications, experience, and salary history.
