Responsibilities:

  • Accounting: Manage the company's daily accounting operations, including transaction updates and reconciliations.
  • Financial Systems Development: Collaborate with management and customer teams to design and implement new financial systems.
  • Receivables Management: Prepare and send invoices to customers, follow up on timely collections, and perform other receivable tasks.
  • Cash Application: Accurately apply payments to customer accounts based on provided information, invoices, and remittance advice.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies between payment amounts, customer records, and invoices.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders, including sales and customer service teams, to address payment-related inquiries and resolve customer issues.
  • Issue Escalation: Identify and escalate any potential issues or irregularities in cash transactions to the appropriate department.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including customer account updates and report preparation.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular cash application reports, bank reconciliations, and other financial reports as needed.
  • Support: Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to cash application and general accounting processes.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years' experience in managing accounting and receivable operations in growing companies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Cash Application Specialist, Accounts Receivable Clerk, or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and tools, such as Zoho books, MS Excel, Google Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with customers.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards related to cash application and financial transactions is a plus.

Estimated Salary: ₹800,000 - ₹1,200,000 per annum
