We empower manufacturers with AI-powered insights and powerful inventory dashboards to make smarter production planning, purchasing, and dispatch decisions while staying audit-ready.Role OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic Business Development Executive to drive growth by identifying, engaging, and converting manufacturing companies into Zubcon customers. This role is perfect for a results-oriented professional who thrives in a startup environment and is passionate about transforming how manufacturers manage their inventory operations.Key Responsibilitiesi. Lead Generation & ProspectingIdentify and research potential manufacturing clients across various industries (automotive, tractors, EV, etc.)Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects through cold outreach, networking, and referralsLeverage digital tools and platforms to generate leads and track prospect engagementii. Sales & Relationship ManagementConduct product demonstrations showcasing Zubcon's distributed inventory management capabilitiesUnderstand manufacturing pain points related to inventory visibility, production planning, and supply chain managementPresent tailored solutions that address specific client challenges and business objectivesNegotiate contracts and close deals while maintaining healthy profit marginsiii. Market Intelligence & StrategyStay updated on manufacturing industry trends, challenges, and competitive landscapeGather market feedback to inform product development and positioning strategiesCollaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and sales materialsiv. Client Success & ExpansionEnsure smooth onboarding and implementation of new clientsIdentify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accountsMaintain long-term relationships to drive customer retention and referralsRequired Qualifications>> Experience & Background2-4 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS, manufacturing, or supply chain technologyProven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targetsExperience with complex, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders>>Skills & CompetenciesStrong communication and presentation skills in English and Tamil/HindiExcellent relationship-building and networking abilitiesProficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and sales analyticsUnderstanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management, or supply chain processes (preferred)Ability to translate technical features into business value propositions>>Personal AttributesSelf-motivated with a strong entrepreneurial mindsetResilient and persistent in the face of rejectionStrategic thinker with attention to detailComfortable working in a fast-paced startup environmentWillingness to travel within Tamil Nadu and other key manufacturing hubsPreferred QualificationsPrior experience selling to manufacturing companiesKnowledge of ERP systems and inventory management softwareExisting network within Tamil Nadu's manufacturing ecosystemExperience with account-based marketing and sales strategiesWhat We OfferCompetitive salary with an attractive commission structureProfessional development opportunitiesOpportunity to work with cutting-edge AI and analytics technologyDirect impact on transforming India's manufacturing sectorLocationChennai (with travel required to client locations)
