Main tasks and responsibilities

(but not limited to)

•To establish and drive forward the strategic direction of the textile business.

•Developing and executing business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals.

•Implement the vision to make IMCD the leading Textile distributor and to become the go-to company for specialty distribution.

•To deliver against stretch business growth objectives and financial budgets.

•Take responsibility to increase for IMCD Textile segment.

•Ensure that business plans are put in place to deliver the strategy.

•Create strategies for organic growth of the business unit.

•Assessing, managing, and resolving problematic developments and situations.

•To maintain an open, entrepreneurial and innovative culture with effective communication and involvement from other members of the IMCD team.

•Nurture and establish a collaborative environment between the various Textile specialist in sales, laboratories across regions.

•Proven track record segment management and growth in a sizable company.

•Drive and positive energy, a strong leader and motivator with strong networking skills.

•Strong knowledge & experience in the Textile space.

•Strong 'hands-on experience' in driving both revenue and profitability growth.

•Deep business development knowledge and track record of developing new routes to markets for new products.

•Sound knowledge and understanding of the distribution business in the Textile space with regards to trends, requirements, differentiators and opportunities.

•Excellent persuasion & negotiation skills to manage customers.

•Entrepreneurial and a visionary individual with a positive can-do attitude.

•Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships.

•External: Customers, Exhibition Authorities

•Internal: Internal Management Team, Global/ Regional Business Head

Reporting Structure

•Role Reports to: Segment Head - Construction, India

•Positions that report into this role: None

Essential Qualifications

•Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Textile Technology background.

•Business Textile Technology degree with relevant deep textile industry knowledge.

Essential Experience

•12+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in a reputed chemical distribution company or Textile Auxiliaries and Textile Auxiliary Formulator (Chemical Industry) background, textile manufacturing organization.
