Title BDM/SalesManager Person whois experienced in selling International Freight Services as well asproviding consultation on
major accounts.
This role requires a successful track record of prospecting andselling transportation and logistics
services to smallmedium and large international freight clients.
Thisrole will be responsible for Business Development increasing theCompanys Carrier Partner
Network and promotingOperational Excellence.
Responsibilities:
Strategically position profitable solutions with new customers witha focus on domestic and
international freight productsand services.
Build density as the Company expandsofferings in foreign markets such as Asia Europe Latin
America and the Middle East.
Hold specific knowledgeregarding international and domestic freight forwardinggateway
operations as well as staying current on markettrends.
The ability to generate new sales revenueindependently and for a designated geographic region.
Develop an entrance strategy for cold calling qualifying andeffectively connecting with
prospective businesspartners.
Create and drive a sales plan strategy thatsuccessfully meets monthly sales goals and initiatives.
Utilize internal tools to negotiate market freight rates forcustomers.
Exude the highest level of customer serviceto both internal and external business partners and
setthe expectations that the task given will be completed to theirsatisfaction.
Account Management to retain and growcurrent client base.
Maintain a working knowledge of theCompanys specialty services internal resources
competitive strategies and customer requirements.
Expandand cultivate the Companys carrier and agent network whiledeveloping new partner
relationships.
Promotemonitor and engage employees to exceed metrics and organizationalgoals.
Coordinate and strengthen efforts andcommunication with Sales and Logistics Account
Executives allowing for maximum visibility of the internationalservice portfolio. Experience:
Minimum 5 yearsSales experience in International Freight Forwarding focused onhigh volume
accounts.
Prior experience inInternational Operations is recommended.
Knowledge andunderstanding of international freight forwarding domestic andgateway
operations.
Ability to independentlydevelop new business opportunities outside of the Companys networkof
customers.
Ability to effectivelycommunicate maintain relationships and negotiate withcustomers.
Ability to strategically analyze and pursueopportunities to deliver continuous growth to the
organization.
Excel in high stress situations withSenior and Clevel executives with the ability to notonly
present clearly but also effectively overcomeobjections with skillful persuasion using datadriven
negotiation and tact.
Ability to travel to meet thedemands of training staffing and customer expectations.
This position offers a competitive base salary plus commissionbased on sales target
