We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of MSS Execution Oversight Lead – PMO

The MSS Central Transformation team is responsible for delivering end-to-end change initiatives across Markets and Securities Services (MSS) business lines. The team leads the implementation of Global Strategic, Regulatory & Mandatory Programmes, partnering with stakeholders across the Bank to deliver value through the implementation of high impact change initiatives. MSS Transformation is responsible for the management and oversight of a global portfolio of CTB initiatives and a total investment of ≈USD950m.

Principal responsibilities

This is a new role acting as a key member of the MSS Central Transformation PMO function. The Execution Oversight Lead will be responsible for managing central governance activities across the CTB portfolio & supporting the Head of Programme Office to define & embed a Center of Excellence construct for PMO resources.

The role holder will be responsible for execution of core portfolio governance activities focused on the following areas:

Execute core governance oversight activities incl. milestone, status and RAID management Support Head of Programme Office with build out of PMO Center of Excellence Manage reporting inputs to governance forums incl. MSS ExCo, Execution Board, Group Own external stakeholder engagement incl. Group, ORR, NFR, Audit & 2LoD functions Maintain oversight of the portfolio MSII Roadmap & drive MSIIs to closure Maintain adherence to Change Framework standards & align to MSS Ways of Working Proactively implement enhancements to existing central governance processes Leverage tooling to streamline processes and support data quality uplift in PPM tooling

Core Governance Execution:

Support development & build out of a PMO Center of Excellence construct though the implementation of best practice standards, processes & guidance across the portfolio Monitor & report progress of all change initiatives across regulatory, mandatory and strategic change initiatives across the CTB portfolio incl. outcomes, RAIDs & statuses Set and manage the portfolio baseline and assess impact of movement throughout the year Implement improved risk, issue & dependency oversight, adopt proactive forward looking approach to RAID management Collaborate with global MSS business sponsors, execution owners and functional leads to maintain key measures of accountability to drive change programmes to completion Undertake delivery assurance activities incl. post implementation delivery reviews Develop a centralised hub for project management best practices, standards & tools Engage with programme leads to define inputs and content for MSS Governance forums incl. MSS Execution Board, MSS ExCo, CPOC etc. Partner with Group, Audit & 2LoD to ensure all standards are met across the portfolio including closure of specific MSIIs within agreed timeframes Review Change Framework updates disseminated by Group Transformation, interpret these updates and refine MSS Ways of Working to maintain adherence Requirements

Requirements

Clear understanding of the project lifecycle and strong portfolio management experience Experience of working in a global organisation in a change environment Understanding of the Change Framework, project management methodologies & best practice techniques Demonstrate the ability to clearly identify outcomes at both programme and portfolio level Strong stakeholder management skills & ability to proactively manage tasks to completion Working knowledge of Clarity PPM system Excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills or experience of other visualisation platforms Strong data literacy; management and analysis of large amounts of data Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive tasks proactively Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
