Role & responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional sales & marketing strategies for fertilizers to achieve business objectives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities.
- Manage and lead a team of Area/ Zonal Managers, Sales Officers, and field staff.
- Drive farmer connect programs, product demonstrations, and awareness campaigns.
- Ensure timely supply chain coordination to meet demand and maintain adequate stock levels.
- Establish and strengthen relationships with distributors, dealers, and institutional buyers.
- Implement pricing, credit, and collection policies in the region.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to fertilizer sales and distribution.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for senior management.
- Provide training, motivation, and performance evaluation of the regional sales team.
- Collaborate with agronomists, R&D, and marketing teams to introduce new products and solutions.

- Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
- In-depth knowledge of fertilizer products, agricultural practices, and rural markets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Analytical and strategic thinking with a results-driven approach.
- Ability to handle distributor networks and rural market dynamics.
Preferred candidate profile
Minimum 10 years of experience in fertilizer/agri-input industry
