Role & responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales & marketing strategies for fertilizers to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities.
  • Manage and lead a team of Area/ Zonal Managers, Sales Officers, and field staff.
  • Drive farmer connect programs, product demonstrations, and awareness campaigns.
  • Ensure timely supply chain coordination to meet demand and maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with distributors, dealers, and institutional buyers.
  • Implement pricing, credit, and collection policies in the region.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to fertilizer sales and distribution.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for senior management.
  • Provide training, motivation, and performance evaluation of the regional sales team.
  • Collaborate with agronomists, R&D, and marketing teams to introduce new products and solutions.

  • In-depth knowledge of fertilizer products, agricultural practices, and rural markets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to handle distributor networks and rural market dynamics.
