This is a full-time on-site role for a Jr Sous Chef specializing in South Indian cuisine at Chakolas Pavilion Event Centre, located in Ernakulam. The Jr Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in planning, preparing, and supervising daily food preparation. Responsibilities include overseeing kitchen staff, maintaining sanitation standards, managing inventory, and ensuring the quality and presentation of dishes. The Jr Sous Chef will also collaborate on menu development, assist in training new staff, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Expertise in South Indian cuisine, cooking techniques, and recipe development
- Kitchen management, inventory control, and staff supervision skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and health regulations
- Menu planning, presentation skills, and creativity in dish preparation
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Formal culinary training or relevant certification
